The operative group for innovation VIRECLI – Precision Viticulture for the vegetative-productive balance control, the soil protection and the adaptation to climate change  – explores the potentialities of precision farming as an available tool for wineries to meet their challenges, now and in the future.

The objectives of this project are the following:

  • Increase the wine farms competitiveness through the implementation of precision farming techniques
  • Test, in several wine production districts, news technics to counteract the climate changes effects
  • Introduce innovation management protocols suitable with the oenological objectives and respectful of the typicity of the territory

Transmit the economically sustainable soil management techniques able to promote productivity and hydrological slope stability

The project started in September 2019 and will last 36 months.
